Concertation and synergy between agricultural advisory stakeholders is one way of finding solutions to the many challenges facing agricultural advisory services and improving their contribution to sustainable development in West and Central Africa. But existing platforms, such as RESCAR-AOC at regional level, and national fora in some countries, are still little known and little used by stakeholders. Moreover, in some countries, stakeholders are looking for knowledge on how to implement and operate these consultation frameworks. This webinar has been organized to meet these needs. It is part of a collaboration between ECOWAS and the ACOTAF consortium represented by CIRAD to strengthen knowledge management with a view to promoting agroecology in West and Central Africa.
Expected results of the webinar
· The participants have a better knowledge and appropriation of RESCAR-AOC and the concept of a forum or national platform for agricultural advice.
· Experiences shared on the added value and conditions for success of national farm advisory forums
· The need to set up or revitalize fora or national exchange platforms in certain countries has been identified.
